Samantha Slatem

Osteopath

My Story

Sam completed her postgraduate studies in Osteopathy in New Zealand where she practiced for two years before relocating to Sydney. Her professional journey has led her to develop a special interest in women's health, with a particular focus on addressing pelvic girdle pain, pregnancy related pain, and post-natal care. Sam possesses a deep understanding of the profound impact that chronic pain can have on a person's life. She takes immense pride in her holistic approach to patient care.

Sam also possesses a wealth of knowledge in hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She is actively engaged as a member of the EDS ECHO group. Having personally confronted her own struggles with hypermobility, she brings a unique firsthand perspective to the complexities and challenges of these conditions.

Sam is passionate about empowering her patients with knowledge about their own bodies. She believes that an informed patient can better navigate their health journey and equip them to have a better understanding of their bodies. To achieve this, Sam collaborates closely with other healthcare professionals, such as midwives, gynecologists, and physiotherapists. By working in tandem with these experts, she ensures the best possible outcomes for her patients.
