No one told me breastfeeding would be…

Breastfeeding education and the realities of the breastfeeding experience not only comes from taking a class or course (although important) but also from learning from one’s community or “village” itself. That is why I am hosting a session for both pregnant and postpartum women to come and hear from one another and a lactation consultant,  about the realities of breastfeeding, when to seek help and tips and tricks to help along the way.

If you’re pregnant, this session isn’t to instill anxiety and fear, but rather to lower that learning curve and to feel more empowered and equipped through knowledge to begin your breastfeeding journey. If you are postpartum, it will help you to realize you aren’t the only one going through what you are going through - you are not alone in your experience.

Who is it for?

Partners and babies are also welcome to attend.

As a lactation consultant the most common phrase I hear from women is “no one told me breastfeeding would be…hard, painful, worse than childbirth, exhausting, unnatural” and more.
