At Bulb, all our practitioners use a holistic mind/body approach. They are committed to supporting your wellbeing through the postnatal period and beyond. You can read some of the articles that our practitioners have written for new mothers here

Here are the services we provide and that we will tailor to your specific needs:

OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy helps rebalance the whole body and the tensions or blockages that often accompany the rapid drop in weight and hormones post birth. The treatments support a good mobility in the pelvis, coccyx, hips and spine as well as good functioning of the digestive, uro-gynecological and cardio-respiratory systems. Osteopathy in the postnatal period can help alleviate: back pain, sciatica, digestive disorders (constipation, bloating, acid reflux), incontinence, pain during intercourse, haemorrhoids, sleep disorders, fatigue, headaches, caesarean section scaring, breastfeeding difficulties.

NATUROPATHY

Naturopathy can support your changing nutritional needs after the birth of your baby to help you recover your energy levels and stamina. If you choose to breastfeed, your nutrients requirements will be even higher. Naturopathy, combined with herbal medicine, can help you combat fatigue, prevent and treat mastitis, cracked or sore nipples and help your body recover from blood loss after birth.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture has been known to benefit women in the postnatal period & expedite their recovery post birth. Acupuncture has been known to assist in building your milk supply & benefit breast engorgement by smoothing congestion & assist the body in enhancing milk production. Many women find acupuncture helpful in tissue healing and scar healing in the postnatal period. Treatments with acupuncture for post Cesarean recovery have been known to help  address the visual appearance of the scar reducing thickness and redness over time.

COACHING & COUNSELLING

The postnatal period can be a very vulnerable time for new mothers. Coaching and counselling can be a great way to voice your emotions, doubts or concerns about the changes taking place in your life. Coaching and counselling can also help you process a difficult birth experience, help you manage perinatal mood challenges (anxiety, tears, low mood) or regain confidence before returning to work after maternity leave.
